There is an abundance of birds and other wildlife and the RSPB Reserve at Loch Garten includes the famous Osprey Centre. Other outdoor activities include watersports, quad biking and pony trekking.
Visitor attractions include the Strathspey Steam Railway, the Cairngorm Reindeer
Herd, dog sledging, an indoor climbing wall as well as the famous Malt Whisky Trail.
Other indoor attractions include the Cairngorm Brewery, Cawdor and Ballendalloch castles. Within easy reach are the fine beaches on the Moray coast, and the cities of Inverness and Elgin. A scenic drive through the National Park takes you to Deeside and Balmoral Castle.
